DAY 3 – DEVOTIONAL

Have you taken the time to reflect and ask what it is like to fast under the new covenant we have through Christ Jesus? If we are already operating from a place of victory, we should have joy and praise during all times of fasting and prayer. Do you believe that the Lord can deliver you from the wrong mindset and break off your strongholds that are debilitating parts of your prayer and fasting life? Is there any hidden fear around fasting or prayer that can be hindering you? Can you sense freedom knocking at your door?

“In [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].” Galatians 5:1 AMPC

“At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.” Galatians 5:1 TPT

Excerpt from The Happy Intercessor, by Beni Johnson, page 23 – “As the speaker began speaking something about the Father’s love, I felt the presence of God and began to cry. I asked the Lord what had gone on the night before. ‘What was that all about?’ I heard these words: ‘I was shaking out of you the strongholds of your life and birthing who you are.’  From that day on the fear that had guided my life left. The stronghold had been broken.” – Beni Johnson.

Oh Mighty and Majestic Father, we thank You for the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. We have been liberated and set free from sin. We ask You to reveal any strongholds still remaining in our lives that affect reading the Word, our prayer life, or even our times of fasting. Help us, Father God, to see clearer than we ever have before. Renew our spiritual sight along with our new mindsets. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We thank You for our continued freedom and liberation, In Jesus’ name, amen.
