Day 15

Day 15

How do you feel emotionally right now?  How does your body physically feel?  Are you getting enough rest and spending enough time in prayer and the word?  Have you lost momentum and need to regroup?  Your body is an amazing vessel that can recover well during fasting.  It may seem like you have lower energy, but your body is pulling from its storehouses things that have been stored up that are now ready to be released.  Those things are both toxins and extra nutrients.  As we finish out this week in fasting and prayer, remember to give thanks for this time of consecration or space we have set aside.  You may have a special offering that you would like to give as you close out your fast this week.  What would you partner with God for and what is your why or reason?  What fruit would you like to see in your life right now?  What have you saved in the way of purchasing food that you would sow that amount back to the Lord?  Think of something between you and the Lord in your giving.  Fasting, prayer, and giving are a three stranded cord that can not be easily broken.  If not this fast, then consider the next.  We may not know now all the answers to our questions that will begin to be revealed to us shortly, but we can have confidence and rest assured that God has a vessel ready for His use.

But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Matthew 6:3‭-‬4 AMPC

But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.

Matthew 6:6 AMPC

But when you fast, perfume your head and wash your face, So that your fasting may not be noticed by men but by your Father, Who sees in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.

Matthew 6:17‭-‬18 AMPC

Excerpt from The Happy Intercessor, by Beni Johnson, page 56 – “A lot of the time, our prayers as intercessors are done in secret.  Then the prophetic acts that we go out and do are the fruit of our intercession.” – Beni Johnson

Papa God, we thank You that Your Word shows us in Isaiah 58: how You would like us to pray and fast.  In Matthew 6:17-18 You tell us to find a secret place to be able to sit in Your presence where only You can speak to our heart’s.  We thank You that You call us to our secret place and You give us Your Word, that teaches us how to become humble through fasting.  And in that place of humility during fasting, we learn to take care of the sick, disease, orphans, widows and homeless.  We thank You that dwelling in the secret place, brings forth great rewards and understanding, as we stand in faith in Jesus’ Name!
