Day 20

January 28, 2023

Day 20

What is your motivation for prayer?  Is God glorified in all aspects of your prayers?  Do you pray for results or for the glory of the Father to be made manifest in the situation or the lives of those you are praying for?  As we go through prayer and fasting, we are being recharged spiritually while our flesh is being made subservient to our Spirit man.  This power that is being charged up is for the use of the Father by the Father for His glory.  We should not boast in our flesh but in the things of God and what He is doing in us and through us.  We should always seek opportunities to return the honor and glory back to Him and His name.  Do you see how God has put leaders in your life to honor and when you honor them, you honor Him?  Do you thank God for those leaders and the part they play in your spiritual life?  If you don’t know what that looks like or sounds like, ask the Father to reveal a deeper understanding to you.  Ask Him to reveal a deeper knowing of honor and glory in Him.  Also ask Him to reveal to you any area where you keep or hold His glory for yourself.

So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.  1 Corinthians 10:31 AMPC

Excerpt from The Happy Intercessor, by Beni Johnson, page 158 – “Pastors, I encourage you to honor and develop trust with those in your church who are intercessors.  They may be a little wild and seem to do some crazy, symbolic, prophetic stuff, but if you will give them covering and let them fly, they will be dedicated to you to the death.  Intercessors, if you will come under your leadership and submit your ministry of prayer and service, you will find fulfillment that you have been longing for.  It is worth working for relationship between pastor and intercessors.” – Beni Johnson.

Papa God, we thank you for giving us leadership and we ask that You will help us learn how important it is to honor them and to pray for them especially when we see them doing or speaking things that we may not agree with.  We also ask that honor is caught and taught throughout leadership and each one learns to honor each other with love and to encourage each other as unto You.  Help us to live a lifestyle that honors as Jesus does to His Father. As we get into our secret place and pray, let everything we ask be in honor and faith in Jesus’ Name!
